Darryl heard footsteps approaching the Sky Prison.
It sounded like only one person, but that person was extremely powerful and strong.
Crap.
Darryl opened his eyes, staring intently at the entrance of the Sky Prison.
'Did the Nine Heaven Emperor already sentence me to death?'
Just as Darryl pondered that, a handsome figure could be seen walking into the prison with big strides. He was clad in a gold helmet, radiating authority and power.
It was Master Magaera.
Darryl grew uneasy. Yet he put on a cold expression, flashing a brief smile. "What's up? Has the Nine Heaven Emperor confirmed my death sentence already? Sending the great Master Magaera to see me off too, I must be worth the while."
Darryl's brain worked furiously to think of an escape plan.
However, the powers in his body had been sealed, and he was weak. There was no way he could do anything at all.
Master Magaera scoffed at Darryl, saying coldly, "Pretty fearless for someone about to die, smiling and everything."
As he spoke, an unreadable expression passed through Master Magaera's features. He said, "I must say, I have quite the respect for you. Single-handedly putting the Godly Region and the fiend race into such chaos. I don't think anyone else could have done the same."
Darryl scratched his head awkwardly, managing a smile. "You're too kind, Master Magaera."
As he fought the fear in his chest, Darryl asked, "Are you going to kill me now?"
Darryl was filled with nothing but dread.
It appeared he could not escape death anyway.
Master Magaera laughed. "And here I thought you were not afraid of anything. Guess you're pretty scared of death like everyone else too."
Master Magaera's gaze was filled with condescension.
Darryl decided there was no point in wasting any more words. He flashed a bitter smile. "Fine, I'll shut up. If you're here to kill me, do it now!"
Darryl closed his eyes.
He was thoroughly devoid of hope.
'Brother Chester, Brother Dax, Yvette, Shannon, and the rest of the Nine Mainland people. I'll see you in another life.'
