Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 4574

Master Magaera chose not to show it. His expression remained utterly neutral, and he did not attempt to elicit any additional information.

At the same time, the officials in the immediate vicinity could not help but whisper amongst themselves.

"It's unbelievable. While imprisoned in the Infernal Shadow Prison, Darryl Darby managed to take down the head of the Four Evil Beasts, Wild Fury, and survive to tell the tale."

"Yes, I can't believe the Holy Sky Stone's predictions came true."

"It's such a shame what happened to His Majesty, though."

Even as the murmurs echoed through the air, Darryl remained on his knees, his expression unmoved by the sounds.

Everything had come to an end in the Godly Region.

He could finally return to the Nine Mainland and reunite with his family. Titles, status, rewards—none of those mattered anymore as long as he could see his family again.

"You—"

Darryl was about to say his goodbyes when a distraught Empress Heidi raised a finger to point at him and roared, "It's all your fault! You're responsible for the Emperor's death."

"Seize him!"

Empress Heidi's beautiful features hardened at that point, and her eyes were boiling with rage.

She thought that Darryl was the one who should have died. The Nine Heaven Emperor must have sacrificed his life trying to save Darryl.

The words rang through the air as two godly generals strode out, shoving Darryl to the ground as they passed by.

Darryl had just returned from the Sealed Fiend Mountain and thus could barely struggle as his fairy soul had not recovered.

Darryl was caught between shock and fury when he was attacked so suddenly. He felt helpless too.

'Motherf*cker! Why did Empress Heidi shove all the blame onto me?'

The royal officials were startled as well. Their faces revealed an unreadable expression.

Darryl had gone through hell for the Godly region, yet Empress Heidi placed the entire blame on his shoulders. That did not seem very fair at all.
