Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 4588

As the soldiers shouted, the sound of their footsteps drew closer.

'D*mn it!' Darryl cursed silently. Without thinking too much, he quickly jumped up the ceiling and glanced around. His eyes brightened.

'This is a good place to hide.'

There was a giant bronze bell at a clock tower nearby. The bell's diameter was about a meter, and it was three meters deep. It was an ideal place to hide.

Furthermore, Darryl noticed that the clock tower was the highest building in the Blazing Sun Gate. He could kill two birds with one stone—hide and observe the situation.

'Yes. I should hide here for the time being. I shall leave the Blazing Sun Gate after it has quieted down.' Darryl did not hesitate and ascended toward the clock tower. He went into the bronze bell.

The space in the bronze bell was ideal for one person. He smiled. 'I've found a hiding place. Now, I shall just wait.'

He patted the dust off his body and took a nap.

With her strong powers and speedy pace, Morticia had managed to make it to the east gate of the Blazing Sun Gate in the blink of an eye.

Morticia's body trembled as she looked at the situation at the Blazing Sun Gate; she was stunned.

Many soldiers were guarding outside the city gate, and the generals had even deployed several formations. Those formations were interlinked for offensive and defensive measures.

In other words, once Morticia stepped out, she would be trapped in any of those formations. She would not be able to leave even if she had extraordinary abilities.

'How evil!'

'Does that mean I can't make it out?'

Morticia pursed her lips, and she was flustered.

As she panicked, the soldiers guarding the city gate had also noticed her. They shouted.

'It's the Fiend Martyr!"
