An uproar erupted in the room.
"Why should we go into hiding when we didn't do anything wrong?"
"But we'll die in the hands of the Godly Region if we don't hide."
They were divided into two camps: one in favor of hiding and one in favor of standing their ground.
Sensing the situation, Chester stepped out, waved his hand and said, "That's enough! Stop arguing—Darryl's right. We've been so caught up in all this turmoil over the years that we haven't even had the chance to catch our breaths. We finally have the chance now, but the Godly Region has put a target on our backs. We don't have the power to defeat them, so it's best we go into hiding."
Everyone kept their mouth shut after Chester's analysis. However, there was another problem for them to solve. The Nine Mainland might be huge, but it was nonetheless isolated by the enchanted barrier. Besides, there were so many of them it would be difficult for them to find a place that would not be discovered by the Godly Region.
At that moment, Debra stepped out and said softly, "Perhaps we can go to the Altar of the Hidden Hero Sect."
The Altar of the Hidden Hero Sect was very hidden and it had been undiscovered for thousands of years. It was definitely a good hiding spot.
Everyone smiled at Debra's suggestion. Darryl smacked his forehead and said with a smile, "Now why didn't I think of that place? It's decided then. We'll hide out at the Altar of the Hidden Hero Sect. Let's go before Master Magaera comes."
Everyone nodded.
After ten minutes or so, Darryl and everyone in the Carter left Mid City in a mighty way under the leadership of Debra with the Altar of the Hidden Hero Sect as their destination. Soon after, a wave of aura fluctuated in the sky and then thousands of soldiers and generals were seen coming with Master Magaera at the helm.
All the citizens of the Mid City were shocked to see the scene before them.
'Huh?' Master Magaera was flying in the sky above the Carter family's manor and thunderous anger filled him when he saw that he was too late for the large manor was as dead as it could be. There was no one there at all. It was obvious everyone had left.
