"Uncle!" Yarl hesitated. "It's nothing. I'm just here to see you."
When there was no outsider around, Yarl would call Cranos Sir but when no one was around, he would call him Uncle.
"Hey kiddo." Cranos smiled. "You know you can tell me everything. Spill it, what's the matter? Did the person you send to Coral Lane run into trouble?"
He knew his nephew too well. Yarl would not come to him if nothing happened. Yarl exhaled a big breath and said, "It's not that. I just want to talk about Lord Morticia."
Cranos was stunned. Before Carnos asked further, Yarl said with a complicated expression on his face, "Uncle, I'm sure you understand that Lord Morticia won't live long since she is poisoned. You have spent your internal energy to suppress the poison since we embarked. But you know very well that it will only work for now. Even if you used all of your internal energy, you will not be able to drive the poison out of her body. Besides that, we still have to look for an island that is suitable for living. It's a long road ahead. You can't continue helping her to suppress the poison."
All the while, Yarl was saying it very sincerely. However, when Cranos heard it, his face sunk. "Are you trying to tell me I should give up on Lord Morticia? Don't forget that we are the descendants of fiend race and Her Excellency is our only support now." Cranos did not understand why his nephew would say such unethical things since Yarl had always been obedient and understanding.
"Uncle, don't be angry. I'm just saying this for the future of our clan. You understand better than me that for our future, Lord Morticia is a burden. We have done everything we could to help and save her."
Suddenly, Yarl slowly got closer to Cranos. "And I don't mean we should abandon Her Excellency."
The facial expression on Cranos' face became more relieved but there was still a frown, "Then what are you trying to say?"
Yarl smiled mysteriously. "The Power of the Fiend Soul!"
'What?' Cranos was stunned.
Yarl's eyes sparkled as he continued, "Since Her Excellency could not last any longer. Why don't we conquest the Power of the Fiend Soul from her body? Once we successfully acquired the Fiend Soul, our power will increase tremendously. Then, there is no one we need to be afraid of including the South Cloud Royals or Master Magaera. Moreover, we had risked our lives in order to rescue Her Excellency just now. There is no other choice. I'm sure Her Excellency will not blame us if she knows it. And of course, since you are the head of the clan, the Fiend Soul will belong to you."
After saying the last sentence, Yarl smiled brightly with high confidence. The Blanc clan was facing a challenge and catastrophe event never happen before for thousands of years. This was the only way to turn the pages and survive. With that thought in mind, Yarl looked at Cranos with anticipation.
However, there was no sign of excitement on Cranos' face. He only showed a dark and cold expression.
"You scumbag!" A few seconds later, Cranos shouted and slapped Yarl in the face. It was a hard hit. With the clear sound, Yarl stumbled back while his head was buzzing. He was dumbfounded.
"Uncle!" Yarl covered his face while looking at Cranos feeling puzzled and wronged. "Why did you slap me? Was my idea that bad?"
"You…" Cranos' body kept trembling while he pointed his finger at Yarl and shouted angrily, "Who told you that it is a good idea? It is a rebellious and treacherous act."
Yarl felt puzzled and refuted. "I am not wrong. We are homeless. Bringing her with us is a huge burden…"
Before Yarl could finish his sentence, Cranos interrupted angrily. "Shut up! Her Excellency is Archfiend Antigonus' most reliable assistant. She had achieved many great achievements for us and yet you want to conquest her Fiend Soul when she is poisoned? If this is not treacherous, then what is?"
