Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 4671

Slap!

Just as the sound rang through the air, a figure slinked in mysteriously with a sly expression.

It was Jarian.

At the sight of Cranos dead on the floor, Jarian rushed forward and congratulated Yarl with a gleeful expression. "Good job, Young Master! I knew you'd succeed."

"Cut the crap," Yarl said expressionlessly. "Hurry and clean up for me."

Jarian hummed and dragged Cranos to the mat with Yarl's help. They wiped the blood off the corner of his mouth and covered the bloodstains on his clothes to make it seem like he had died a sudden death.

Then, Jarian strode out of the tent to call for the elders, as instructed by Yarl.

Not long after that, a few elders rushed to the tent.

When the elders entered the tent and saw what was before them, they came to a halt. They were taken aback.

The elders could see Cranos sitting on the mat, and his eyes were shut. He was not breathing.

Next to him, Yarl looked sorrowful.

"What happened?"

"Sir Cranos is dead?"

"Hasn't he been fine? How did that—"

A few seconds later, the elders returned to their senses in waves of shock and confusion.

Whew!

Yarl strode forward with an expression of great grief. He said slowly, "Uncle's dead, everyone. His internal energy had been incredibly disrupted from holding down the poison for His Excellency. He had to do it again before we set up camp and accidentally came into contact with some of the poison. It was already too late when I discovered him—

"Those bloody South Cloud Royals are to blame for this. Uncle died such an unfair death."

Yarl had tears flowing down his cheeks as the final word reverberated across the air.

Yarl was a wise man who understood that faking a sudden death would necessitate a scapegoat to blame. The South Cloud Royals were ideal for the job.
