Finally, Ronny responded and greeted Selina with a smile. "Selina, you look gorgeous today."
After that, he turned around to look at Sandra and introduced them, "Senior Sister, this is Selina, whom I have told you before. Selina, this is my senior sister. I remember telling you that she always took good care of me. She's here to run some errands." He was very proud to be a Heavenly Dragon Sect disciple. Even though it was not the most famous sect in the Cryolet Continent, it was still a prominent and authentic sect. That was why Ronny always acted arrogantly in his hometown, and no one dared to offend him.
Ronny had no intention of introducing Darryl. He thought he was a useless guy, and he did not think Darryl was qualified to know his senior sister, so he dismissed him.
"Hi, Senior Sister," Selina greeted her with a smile. Sandra returned with a smile too. After that, she looked at Darryl. "This is—"
Before she could finish her question, Ronny cut her off. "Senior Sister, he is just a useless person. Ignore him." Afterward, he hinted at his fellow companions. They understood what Ronny was hinting at them and started to tease and bully Darryl.
"Oh, he is like a dog in human form after changing to a new set of clothing."
"You're right. How dare you show your face here after you've sold yourself to become the Stanford family live-in son-in-law?"
"Such thick skin!"
They were Ronny's fair-weather friends, and they were always together, drinking and leading a life of debauchery. Same as Ronny, they disregarded Darryl. In the meantime, Mandy had a disdainful look on her face and said, "What was Uncle thinking? How could he let Selina married to this useless person—"
"That's enough!" Selina had enough of it. "Ronny, we come to have fun today, so stop acting like that. Alright?" Selina was not satisfied with Darryl too. However, they were already married, so she knew she had to help him when everyone teased and laughed at him.
"Alright, alright. I'll do as you say." Ronny nodded with a forced smile, yet he was still arrogant. He looked at Darryl like he was superior to him. "Derrick, I won't trouble you for the sake of Selina. But remember, don't try any funny business here while we are having fun. Do you understand?"
'What an idiot.' Darryl sneered and ignored Ronny. By that time, everyone started talking happily as they strode along the lake. Darryl followed behind them and kept looking around to find some Sword Plum Grass. That was the only reason he agreed to go out on an outing with Selina. He wanted to find some Sword Plum Grass so he could treat Selina's sickness and let her recover fully.
Just then, Mandy saw something and pointed at a bush nearby. "Brother, Selina! Look, there are many butterflies over there." She dashed forward excitedly.
Selina laughed and said, "Slow down, Mandy."
Ronny did not care about that. "Ignore her, Selina. Let her be since it's not that easy for her to come out to have fun."
"Argh!" As soon as Ronny finished his sentence, he heard Mandy shouting in fear. Subsequently, her body trembled before she fell to the ground. He saw a very colorful snake quickly escape and disappear into thin air.
'Oh, no! It's a poisonous snake!' Everyone was startled and quickly rushed toward her. They realized that Mandy had fainted, and her face was pale. Everyone was shocked; they wondered which snake had poisoned her.
"Hurry!" Ronny was sweating profusely as he shouted, "Bring her back to the town to seek treatment from the doctor." His fair-weather friends quickly responded. They wanted to carry Mandy back to Hidden Dragon Town.
"Wait!" Darryl, who had been quiet the whole time, stopped them. "The snake bit her, and the poison is now lingering around the wound. If you try to move her, the poison will spread faster. The best way is to let her stay the way she is now."
