Darryl once again rode on the back of the Crazy Sphinx with excitement to head toward the place where he parted with Marvin.
However, when he reached, Marvin was nowhere to be seen. Marvin could have waited for a long time but left when he thought Darryl was not coming back.
'Oh no!'
When Darryl discovered Marvin was not there, he furrowed his brows. His initial plan was to have Marvin remove the Soul Breaking Needles on him. What could he do since Marvin was not around?
Although he still had the Crazy Sphinx by his side, he was just a fierce beast who could not help him remove the needle.
The more anxious he was, the more pain he felt in his back. Darryl inhaled heavily, and his forehead was coated in sweat because of the pain.
The Soul Breaking Needles were pierced into the most sensitive acupoints of the body. The longer they stayed there, the more painful it became.
When Darryl was in the ancient tombs, he was busy teaching the Crazy Sphinx how to break through the formation, so he did not focus on his body. That was why he did not feel the excruciating pain.
Since he was out of danger, the pain came rumbling in, and it was hard for him to endure.
As the Crazy Sphinx saw the look on Darryl's face, he got nervous. Then, he slowly approached Darryl with his big body and asked, "What's wrong with you?"
Then, he finally noticed the five silver needles shimmering with blue lights on Darryl's back. He was shocked.
Darryl opened his mouth and wanted to reply, but a sudden pain came throbbing before he could. His vision went dark, and he fainted.
"Beast lord…"
The Crazy Sphinx panicked. He tried calling out for Darryl a few times, but he did not respond. In the end, he had to put Darryl on his back, and he flew away quickly.
'Beast lord, I will definitely find someone to save you…'
The Crazy Sphinx felt very anxious. He swore that by crook or hook, he would not let anything bad happen to Darryl.

On the other side of the Dragon King Island of The Nine Mainland, there was a temporary palace on the island with a luxuriant design—the residing place for Morticia. It took three months to complete the palace.
The design was luxurious and grand, not losing to the other palaces in The Nine Mainland when compared.
