Darryl kept a straight face at everyone's anger and looked at Cormac Tase with a half-smile.
"D*mn it!" Suddenly, a man who stood next to Cormac Tase could not help but march forward and yell at Darryl. "Who is that reckless man? Why won't you look into the mirror? Who are you to judge the Three Major Sects' affairs?"
"Master, let me kill him." The young man drew his longsword and rushed forward.
The young man was Angus Willow, Cormac's final disciple. He was utterly respectful and admiring of Cormac.
Angus saw how Darryl addressed his master as Old Master and mocked the Three Major Sects. He was young and volatile; how could he have withstood that? After all, the Three Major Sects' disciples were respected throughout the years in the world of cultivators. No matter where they go, they would be respected and had never been shown contempt that way.
When Cormac heard Angus speak, his expression darkened, and he kept quiet, seemingly to have agreed to it.
'Sh*t!' Kendra began to panic. 'Darryl is too ballsy. He spoke rashly and also despised the Three Major Sects?'
'We're dead this time. He's powerless. I'm afraid Angus will kill him in the first round.'
Darryl scoffed and said to Angus, "Why? Are you angry because I touched a sore spot?"
Then, he tilted his head to look at Cormac, "Old Master, is that how the Pure Yang Division behaves as cultivators? Only accepts compliments and rejects every critic?
"Using violence to defend the reputation of the sect? That'd only shut people's mouths up, but you'll never stop how they think.
"In fact, I was looking forward to meeting the Pure Yang Division, but now that you've consented to your disciple killing me—bring it on. I believe this world has justice."
After completing his last word, Darryl closed his eyes. He did not intend to avoid it. There was no fear on his face; instead, there was a trace of disdain.
Cormac furrowed his brows at the situation and kept quiet.
