Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 5071

Not long after Neil and Ambrose left, a charming figure walked through the garden toward the chambers.

She was dressed in a long red dress that outlined her curves, making her a breathtaking sight.

It was Morticia.

Morticia was in a great mood then, as she had just come out of a pretty fruitful cultivation session and was currently headed to see her child. Morticia had become a lot more gentle ever since having a child and found herself missing her child a lot.

Yet it had to be said that her child was far too cute. She missed her child more often than not and wanted to be around her child all the time.

Oh?

Just as she was about to reach the entrance of the chambers, Morticia stopped as an uneasy feeling crept about her chest.

All that could be seen was a few maids slumped against the door frame, unmoving. It was clear that their acupoints had been blocked.

Crap!

Sensing something was wrong, Morticia entered hurriedly. At the sight of the empty cot, her brain whited out as her knees gave out, and she collapsed onto the floor.

Where… where was her child?

All at once, Morticia felt as if her world had shattered.

A good few seconds later, Morticia returned to her senses as she struggled to stand, scrambling to unblock the acupoint of the servant closest to the bed in an anxious tone, "Where's my child? Where did my child go?"

Morticia was close to tears then.

To her, her child was everything.

The servant's face was full of shame as she collapsed to the ground and sobbed. "It's all my fault, Your Highness. I neglected the Young Master. A man barged in just now by force, blocked all our acupoints, and took the Young Master away."

As she spoke, a thought seemed to come to the servant as she continued, "The man said that if you wanted the Young Master to be safe, you would need to bring a little girl named… named Heather to him."

"It's my fault, Your Highness. Please punish me…"

Toward the end, the servant was bent in half on her knees, tears streaming down her face with unspeakable fear and dread.

Upon hearing so, Morticia sat on the bed numbly as her expression paled along with her thoughts. Her chest, too, was full of anger.
