What…
At the sight, Ambrose and Neil's jaws dropped in shock as they gazed at Heather in wonder.
What was that colorful powder, and how could it summon a whole school of fish?
How phenomenal.
On top of that, Darryl could also clearly see that the fish that had swarmed forward were no ordinary creatures. They were completely red in color, making them look rather strange. There were curious-looking scales on their body, making them look like a bundle of flames from afar.
"Haha…"
Heather could not help but giggle at their astonishment. She then grabbed one of the fish skillfully and plucked off two of its scales as she explained, "These fish are extremely rare. They live deep in the ocean. They're called Flamefish. Their scales are soft but sturdy and very good for mending broken boats.
"That powder I just sprinkled into the ocean was seaflower pollen."
Just like the Flamefish, seaflowers only grow deep in the ocean. They give off a peculiar scent, powerful enough to attract the Flamefish. They'll do whatever it takes to get a whiff of it."
As she spoke, Heather did not stop grabbing more Flamefish from the water.
She was not only kind but skilled at what she did. In order to not harm any of the fish, she only plucked two scales off every fish before letting it back into the ocean.
With the number of Flamefish that had gathered, two scales every fish was plenty to mend all the boats.
Ambrose and Neil exchanged a glance upon hearing Heather's explanation, realization dawning upon them.
They would have never known there was so much to learn from living by the sea.
All at once, Neil could not help but remark with a smile, "Beauty and brains, Sister-In-Law! Thank heavens we've got you with us today, or Ambrose and I really would have been stuck here."
Heather preened at the praise but still ducked her head bashfully. "Stop… stop calling me that. Ambrose and I.. haven't gotten married yet."
