With a flick of his wrist, Andres produced another dagger in his hand. He targeted it at Darryl's right arm.
Darryl was shocked, and his eyes reddened at that moment. 'What a heinous and shameless man.' He wondered if he should be struggling to loosen the ropes since his injury had nearly healed after two hours of rest. For him, it would be a piece of cake.
Suddenly, there was a flurry of footsteps outside the monastery. According to the light footsteps, there were a lot of them, and they should be the community's elites.
Andres was shocked. He immediately stopped and thought, 'Did the Four Seas Alliance find out that Frankilda was killed? Did they send their great warriors to look for the murderer?'
Even though Andres was confident in his strength and abilities, he was aware that he was not the strongest and that he would be unable to defeat all of the Four Seas Alliance's warriors if they came prepared. As a result, he gave Darryl a cold stare and lowered his voice. "You are extremely fortunate. You are off the hook for the time being." He put his dagger away and walked away. He leaped to the roof of the monastery's entrance without breaking a sweat.
Darryl exhaled after Andres left. 'Damn it. How close was that? I nearly exposed my power.' In the meantime, he was also curious who could have arrived at that run-down monastery at that hour. 'Forget about it. I better take the chance to recover my power.' Then he continued resting with his eyes shut while also keeping an eye out for what was happening outside.
Elsewhere, outside the run-down monastery, Andres jumped onto the roof of the entrance. He took a look with furrowed brows.
Several dozens of men were making their way toward the monastery. They were all armed with longswords. The group's leader was over 50 years old and dressed in a long black robe. His aura gave the impression that he was a powerful man. He was Angera Porlick, the North Sea Galaxy's Great Elder.
Magnum had spread the Hysteria Powder in the bedchamber a few hours before that. Angera, the other elders, and Zacho had inhaled it. They remained calm and quickly began to meditate while locking their acupoints. As a result, the poison did not spread to the rest of their body. When they confirmed that the rest were safe, Angera gathered the elite disciples into separate teams, with the elder leading them to kill Magnum and search for Darryl.
Angera and his teams had been searching for hours and had come up empty-handed. They were exhausted and happened to pass by that monastery to rest.
"Elder!" The team had reached the entrance. One of the disciples said, "That monastery is quite big. It should fit all of us."
Angera nodded and said, "Let's take a rest. We'll leave before the sun rises. Remember, take turns to rest and be alert to your surroundings."
Magnum was a sly person. He still had the Hysteria Powder on him, so they had to be extra careful not to fall for the same trick again.
Suddenly, a man jumped down from the entrance's roof, impeding everyone's progress. He was holding a fan and looked very classy. It was Andres. He laughed and said, "If you want to rest, North Sea Galaxy members, please find another location. The monastery is forbidden to you." He spoke so indifferently but majestically that people could not disobey him.
The Pure Yang Division and the North Sea Galaxy were allies. Andres did not want them to discover that Darryl was held captive inside the monastery. Most importantly, Andres had been creating opportunities to be alone with Goliry, and he would not allow other people to interrupt them.
At that moment, Angera and the disciples focused their sights on Andres. They frowned as their anger spiked. 'That person is beyond measure. How dare he hinder the North Sea Galaxy?'
