"Alright!"
Upon entering the attic, Darryl looked around before adding lightly, "This place looks pretty out of the way, so I don't think anyone will come by within a short time. You won't have to worry about being found. You can rest and heal here safely. I'm going to be on my way."
As the words rang through the air, Darryl turned to leave.
Despite having his face covered, Darryl knew that the Hexa Swordmaidens were no ordinary women. If he were to mess up in the slightest and reveal his identity to them by accident, nothing good could come out of it.
He had barely taken two steps when Lumi's voice blared from behind him. "You… You stand right there! The Belladonna Palace never takes free favors! Tell me your name, and I'll be sure to repay you in the future."
Lumi's expression was nothing but frail as she spoke, yet her eyes shone with determination.
Uhh…
Darryl stood there as he turned to look at Lumi with a pained smile. "I just said I was only passing by and helping you out. There's no need to repay me."
Darryl had killed her pupil, Andres, with his bare hands. There was no way he could reveal his identity, let alone talk about repayment.
Seeing as he was not willing to tell her who he was still, Lumi grew impatient and struggled to stand up. However, while doing so, she accidentally tore her wound. With a harsh jerk and tremble, she felt the corners of her vision darken.
A sharp pain shot into Lumi's body as she finally gave out, passing out onto the ground.
Her internal energy had been practically wiped out with the sword chant she exploded with, followed by her being stabbed many times, causing her to lose a great deal of blood. In a state of injury like that, even someone more powerful or strong would not be able to take it.
Darryl sighed as he thought, 'This woman sure is stubborn.'
Seeing Lumi keel over, Darryl sighed as he rushed over to help her up before leaning her against the wall. Upon doing so, Darryl sensed Lumi's condition and frowned to himself.
Crap!
That woman had lost a great deal of internal energy. She also lost too much blood. If he did not think of a way to cure her as soon as possible, her life would be at stake.
It was not the most appropriate thing for two people of opposite genders to be intimate. If he were to rescue her, they would have to touch for sure.
All at once, Darryl's brows knitted as he fell into a dilemma. Due to Lumi losing too much blood, they would have to touch for sure if he were to help her.
