As he spoke, Darryl turned around to untie Rachelle.
Truthfully, Darryl knew that she was still tied up. He was just pretending to have forgotten.
Upon untying her, Rachelle rubbed her reddening wrists as she bowed to Darryl swiftly.
"Thank you, kind sir, for rescuing me."
Rachelle was truly one of the most beautiful women in the True Flame Sect. A smile from her was like a spring breeze.
Darryl pretended to not have seen her, nodding his head. "Alright. You're welcome, young lady. Those rascals have run away, so you should go home. I've got my own things to sort out. I'll see you another time."
As he spoke, Darryl turned to walk away. As he turned, Darryl held in a smile as his eyes glinted slyly.
Haha…
The woman thought he would chase her and look for other things to talk about just because he found her beautiful, so he was going to do the exact opposite. He wanted to see how the show would play out.
Darryl had wandered the world for a long time, and he could tell that even before Tony and the rest had struck, Rachelle was the mastermind behind all of it.
What…
Seeing Darryl leave once again made Rachelle panic. Was Darryl a man or not? Why did he not take the slightest bit of interest in women?
Logically speaking, was he not supposed to ask her if she was injured or not? Not a single word at all from him, only desperate to leave.
Rachelle's plan had involved her pretending to be a lady mugged by the Four Seas Alliance that Darryl would run into and save. After all, Darryl was a young and healthy man. He would not be able to resist her beauty for sure.
"Is something else the matter?"
Darryl stopped walking, looking at her with a smile.
Rachelle let out a sigh, putting on an utmost feeble expression. "My… My wrists feel a little numb, and my legs ache a little. Can… Can I walk with you, sir? I'm afraid those men might return, and I might end up in trouble again if you aren't here to protect me…"
Ho ho…
The truth was finally starting to come out with how she tried to keep up the excuses to get closer to him.
