To tell the truth, Prince Auten was only partially calm in the face of so many sects showing up all at once.
If a battle was to really break out, he would be able to keep his own life— but the True Flame pupils would not be so lucky. He had not expected Payton to challenge him at all.
This, of course, was a one-in-a-million chance to Prince Auten.
Huh?
Seeing Prince Auten agree so easily, Payton stopped short.
"Adam Bedford agreed to duel…"
"Ha, he's always had quite the ego. I'm not surprised that he accepted Payton's challenge. But… he seems to have lost a great deal of energy. He's going to lose so badly."
"Would serve him right. We offered him a deal, but he just had to have the Godly Secret Realm for himself."
Amidst the voices, not one of them thought that Prince Auten was going to win.
"You're a good man, Sect Master Adam."
Just then, Payton returned to his senses as he was unable to hide the condescension in his tone. "Well then, don't mind if I do." As the words rang through the air, he exploded with internal energy as he soared into the air.
Buzz!
Upon doing so, the atmosphere constricted as Evan drew his long sword to slash it across the air in a bright arc before piercing it in Prince Auten's direction.
Yet Prince Auten's expression was full of nothing but disdain. He let out a sneer, raising his right arm to pick up the long sword on the ground closest to him.
All at once, the blade of the sword shot out a brilliant golden light.
What?
Just then, everyone else stopped short as they were unable to hide their shock.
Adam… seemed so weak but was still capable of exploding with such powerful energy.
"Take that!"
Just as Payton was recovering from his shock, Prince Auten let out a cold roar as he flicked his long sword through the air. A sharp sound could be heard as the golden light exploded out of the sword, making a beeline for Payton.
