Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 5522

But Antigonus had made up his mind, and had already begun to form a plan.

That was to sacrifice Morticia, and use her Fiend soul to condense a Blood Sacrifice Formation…

"Thank you, Honorable Archfiend…"

Seeing as Antigonus had finally forgiven her, Morticia's tightly-wound chest loosened in an instant. She called out in response, before rushing straight in.

Morticia recalled the carvings of how to break the formation she had seen on the wall of the dungeon she had been locked in, and spoke at once the second she was in the formation. "Honorable Archfiend. This is the Battle of the Star Formation the Yellow Emperor made. It involves the Fuxi Primordial Bagua, as well as…"

Morticia was plenty excited as she spoke.

It was important to note that as the Archfiend, Antigonus was extremely brilliant and smart. He was sure to be able to find out how to break the formation in the shortest amount of time possible.

Yet Antigonus' focus was not on Morticia, but on Master Magaera watching from outside the entire time.

"Magaera!"

The next second, Antigonus smiled lightly at Master Magaera, "There's not much you can do if you just sit and watch. Why don't you show off a little? Let me see if you've improved since the last time I saw you…"

His tone was nothing but arrogant, meant to provoke and nothing else.

What?

As the words rang through the air, Morticia's figure jerked as she stopped short.

Had the Archfiend gone mad? The Battle of The Star Formation was far from broken, and here he was declaring war on Master Magaera. Wasn't he… looking to get himself killed?

At the thought, Morticia could not help but pipe up. "I… I really think that we should break the formation first."

Had it been in the past, Morticia would have done whatever the Archfiend wanted her to do without questioning him in the slightest. But things were different now— she missed her child, and wanted nothing more than to just get out of the formation before them.

Antigonus took a deep breath at the panicked look on her face, and said in a meaningful tone, "I know what I'm doing. There's no need for you to panic."

His voice was not loud, but left no room for retaliation.

Sensing Antigonus' demeanor, Morticia was about to say something but held back at last.
