'After all, the death of a disciple of the Elixir Sect won't cause much of a ruckus.'
'D*mn it…'
Hearing what Salvatore said, Darryl was startled, and deep down, he laughed to himself.
'This man is no fool, I'll give him that. He found an excuse that fast!'
As he thought to himself, Levi chuckled and said, "Darren, since Sect Master Darby has given his response, you should just get the inner core of the enchanted beast from the elixir warehouse."
Levi had unknowingly done Salvatore a favor after hearing what he said.
'Heh.' Darryl secretly sneered. How could he let Salvatore fool him that easily? He wanted to say something else, but before he could, Audrey cut him off.
"This man is so shameless." Audrey walked toward him with her hands on her hips and scolded Darryl, "Sect Master Darby has given his response. What more do you want?!
"I've seen many who push their luck like you. Just because your Master has a friendship with Sect Master Darby, you shamelessly request Sect Master Darby to do things for you. You have the cheek to do it, but I feel embarrassed on your behalf."
'F*ck…' Darryl was irritated. 'Is this disciple out of her mind? I have no beef with you, but you're always coming after me!'
He wanted to talk back so badly, but Audrey did not let him. She grabbed his arm and walked out of the main hall as she called out to Laurel.
Darryl wanted to struggle, but he did not have any divine power and thus failed to do so. Moreover, Audrey was a lady, and he thought it was inappropriate to be hostile toward her.
"Junior Sister! Bring him to the elixir warehouse."
Outside the main hall, Audrey let go of him and said to Laurel, "Tell him to leave after he's taken the inner core of the enchanted beast. Don't let him interrupt Master's and Sect Master Darby's conversation again."
Then, Audrey glared at Darryl. "I don't want to see you anymore. You're so annoying."
With that, she turned and returned to the main hall.
'F*ck…' Darryl, rooted on the spot, felt exasperated and helpless.
