Scitalis looked visibly disconcerted as it spoke, too.
When they flew out of the abyss, Debra and Rachelle had been talking about the matter of the Hidden Hero Sect, so Scitalis was not entirely clueless about the whole situation.
He was just pretending to be loyal to Rachelle. How could it possibly die with her?
Seeing his reaction, both Rachelle and Debra despised him.
The next second, Debra said crossly, "Aren't you a bold fellow? Why are you afraid of dying?"
"Ahaha…" Hearing the mockery, Scitalis smiled awkwardly and said, "I'm not afraid of the cultivators from the Nine Mainland, but I don't think I can defeat those divine soldiers and generals.
"Otherwise, Yennie wouldn't have trapped me in the abyss."
"Enough, stop talking," snapped Rachelle, interrupting Scitalis impatiently. "Even if we want to die, I won't have you dying with us either. Just drop us off when we're nearby Hidden Hero Sect."
Glancing at Debra, Rachelle was also very disgusted with Scitalis. She would not have helped him if she did not need him to get out of the abyss.
Hearing what Rachelle said, Scitalis was flustered. Then, it pretended to show its loyalty. "I was just joking, Master! You saved me and helped me remove the spell. Thus, I'll follow you my whole life.
"I won't even wince if I had to go through hell for you, let alone Hidden Hero Sect."
Despite these words, Scitalis had another plan in mind.
When they arrived at the Hidden Hero Sect, Scitalis would run away the moment anything went awry.
Seeing him boasting, both Rachelle and Debra looked at each other and tacitly ignored him.
Soon, they passed by a mountain.
Huh?
As a spiritual serpent, Scitalis sensed something when it flew over the mountain. Its huge figure immediately landed at the foot of the mountain, and in the instant it landed, it shifted into his human form.
In the face of an emergency, both Debra and Rachelle were stunned for a moment before they questioned Scitalis, displeased.
"What are you doing?"
