Rustle…
There was the sound of footsteps not long after Archfiend Antigonus left, and then Graham walked forward with anticipation, carrying a jar of wine and a roasted chicken.
'After marrying Circe, Zenyi will be my brother-in-law. Of course, I must bring some good wine when I ask him for help.'
"Brother Zenyi," Graham shouted outside the door.
However, the house was quiet, and no one answered.
Graham frowned. 'It's so late. Brother Zenyi can't be out now as he's disabled.'
As he muttered to himself, he saw the door was left ajar. Without much thought, he opened the door and walked in.
Graham entered the room and noticed Zenyi seated in the wheelchair by the bed, his back to the door, motionless.
Graham had not realized something was wrong. He thought Zenyi was asleep in his wheelchair, and he shouted, "Brother Zenyi, why did you fall asleep in the wheelchair?"
After that, he placed the wine and the roasted chicken on the table next to the bed. Then, he turned on the light and walked forward.
'What?' Graham shuddered, and he had goosebumps when he saw what had happened.
Zenyi was bleeding through his seven orifices and was breathless.
Graham's head buzzed, and his mind went blank in an instant. He gathered his thoughts and was about to call for help a few moments later.
He smelled a faint fragrance in the room just as he was about to turn around. He felt dizzy after inhaling it and could not stand still.
Graham rushed to boost his internal energy, but he did not expect that the more he did it, the dizzier he felt. Finally, his vision went black, and he passed out right next to the wheelchair.
That was the scent of the powder Archfiend Antigonus had sprinkled in the room before leaving. He had prepared it himself. When one smelled it, no matter how powerful one was, one would lose consciousness.
…
Circe happily stood in the corridor and waited quietly.
