Darryl laughed as he looked at Debra and said, "Your husband's character may be a little wild, but I spoke only the truth. The Elixir Sect is just a bunch of useless bastards."
He intentionally stressed the last two words as he looked across the entire hall.
"You are asking for death!"
Some of the elders were furious; they raised their blades as they started to wave their swords at Darryl.
A young man had humiliated their sect; how could they stand by and not kill him?
"Report..." A disciple ran into the hall from the back. He looked panicked as he knelt.
"Sect Master, something is wrong! Sect
Mistress is sick again!" The disciple looked worried as he sweated profusely.
What?
When he heard that, Andy's face changed; he panicked like a child.
Andy's wife was Jody. They grew up together and had a great relationship. Two years ago, they had the grandest wedding ceremony in Great East's history. The event was known throughout the Great East, and everyone was envious.
They grew even closer after the wedding, and they had an intimate loving life.
However, good days did not last long, as terrible things started to happen. Jody had fallen sick about a year ago, and she had been bedridden ever since then. Every time she was ill, her body would freeze, and icy flakes would form on her eyelashes and lips. It would leave her weaker every time, as well.
Andy had searched the entire Great Valley for a cure for many well-known doctors, but none could cure her. Each of the doctors said that she was too weak. If she were to fall sick again, her body would not take it, and she would die.
As a last resort, Andy made some elixirs to sustain her health, but it did not cure her at all.
The Sect Mistress's illness was like a rock that crushed Andy's heart. He panicked when he heard she had fallen ill again. He did not care about any other matters; he only wanted to be with his wife.
Nothing was more important to Andy than Jody.
