Pursuing My Ex Wife In Full Bloom Spring novel Chapter 328

She was rather taken aback. She had been disappointed so many times that she thought this could not possibly be them, but she was wrong.

Wendy immediately gave Naomi a once-over, taking in her sensible clothes, her delicate features, and the soft smile on her face. She instantly took a liking to her, even though she had not even met her formally.

Naomi's dark hair was pulled back into a simple bun, and her skin was glowing but had no trace of makeup. It was as though she had simply gotten up in the morning and washed her face before heading out.

Wendy scrutinized her, then began to observe Naomi's clothes. All of a sudden, she recalled the conversation she had had that morning with her friend, Gemma, whom she had called to apologize for making her open up shop at such an ungodly hour to get an outfit for Naomi.

At that time, Gemma teased her about her future daughter-in-law and mentioned how pretty Naomi was even though she had only seen photos of her. She even added that Naomi was exactly the type of girl Wendy would love to have as a daughter-in-law.

Wendy immediately grew even more excited to meet Naomi after hearing this. When on the phone, she could not help asking Gemma for even more details of Naomi, which Gemma gladly obliged.

Finally, Gemma said something that stuck with Wendy. She mentioned that Naomi looked like a nice, sensible young lady who would make a devoted wife to Charles.

Wendy herself had been brought up in a well-educated family and eventually married into the Wards, who were a family of scholars. Therefore, she emphasizes a lot on Charles finding a sensible woman to settle down with. Although she respected Charles' decision, she still secretly hoped he would end up with a nice woman instead of a feisty one.

However, Wendy's fears dissipated the moment she laid eyes on Naomi. Naomi was exactly the kind of woman she hoped Charles would end up with!

Wendy could not stop herself from grinning.
