Yun Shang knocked on the edge of the bed. She squinted her eyes, "all the interrogation have been arranged on line?"
Qian Yin promptly grabbed a roll of parchment, nodded and said, "yes, it's here."
Yun Shang opened the box, took a close look at it, and nodded. "I'm going to visit father now. You've stayed up all night. Have a rest first."
"Okay." Qian Yin thought about it for a while and said, "Your Highness, please take He Yun with you."
Yun Shang nodded her head. Qian Yin hurried out of the room, and asked the servants to prepare the carriage. She also gave some orders to He Yun about some things that needed to be done in the palace, before she went in. Then she said to Yun Shang in a soft voice, "Luo Yi told me that He Yun is a hidden guard in his Highness' hands, but I thought it was enough for me to be with you, as your highness is also good at Kung Fu, you would be fine. But after your highness encountered an assassin and got hurt on the way back to Prince Jing's mansion, his highness told me repeatedly not to separate you from anybody."
Yun Shang was stunned at Qian Yin's words. She kept silent for a while and said, "I see. You can go to bed now."
Compared with Qian Yin who likes to talk a lot, He Yun was rather quiet. But Yun Shang didn't take offense at her silence. When they arrived at the palace, the emperor Ning was still in the court, Lord Zheng and Emperor Ning were not present. Seeing Yun Shang walk in, the eunuch who was standing at the door hurriedly said, "His majesty is not over with the morning court yet, your highness. I'm afraid you have to wait for some time."
Yun Shang nodded her head, "Then bring me a pot of tea."
The eunuch replied, and led Yun Shang into the qinzheng hall. He fetched a chair for Yun Shang to sit before standing aside and waiting.
After waiting for about two hours, the three sounds of whip came vaguely from the direction of the Jinluan hall.
The eunuch immediately answered, "Your highness, the morning court is over."
As expected, Emperor Ning came in just in the time of a cup of tea. As soon as Yun Shang stood up, she heard emperor Ning say, "you can stop your ceremony. I heard that you have been waiting for a long time? Is there anything wrong?"
Yun Shang raised her eyes and glanced at the servants standing a few steps away from the palace. Then she fell into silence. Emperor Ning looked around the palace and waved his hands, "you can leave now."
