Sabrina finally received Nelson's call at 7:00 pm. He apologized, "Sorry. I was caught up with something." His tone was devoid of warmth and sincerity.
She was angered by the fact he left her waiting at the courthouse for the entire afternoon. He did not love or care about her, hence he showed her no respect.
At first, she had wanted to go off at him, but she realized it was unnecessary. Sighing, she suggested, "How about tomorrow morning? Can you make it?"
"I'll be abroad. Let's do Monday."
"I'm busy on Monday." With that, she hung up.
…
The next day, Sabrina went to work and confirmed her guess about Nelson's absence. As expected, he was held up by something related to Pamela.
Pamela was appointed the ambassador of Tucker Group by the previous CEO, yet she did not show up on time for the shooting, which sent the person in charge of marketing into a panic. "She agreed to the shoot but did not show up. What do we do?"
An assistant found out from Pamela's Instagram post that she was at Summerton City. She posted a photo of a viral restaurant. Although the photo did not feature anyone, anyone could spot the fingers of a man holding a cup.
That morning, she took and posted a photo of a man's handsome silhouette in front of floor-to-ceiling windows with the rising sun as a backdrop.
The couple showed off their relationship in a subtle manner. Life seemed good.
"If she refuses to cooperate within three days, we'll switch her out!"
…
Sabrina visited the Tucker manor on Friday after work for a discussion with Shannon about the Saturday party.
She appreciated Shannon's goodwill. Shannon had tried various ways to make things work between Sabrina and Nelson, hoping the two would stay together.
Sabrina thought it would be inappropriate for Shannon to host a blind date now that she was about to divorce Nelson. She would have to be really dense to accept the offer.
