Rekindling Her Affection (Sabrina and Nelson) novel Chapter 57

"No. Let's wait a little longer," Sabrina said to Abigail.

Seeing that Sabrina was well aware of the situation, Abigail did not press further.

The thought of eating pan dulce delighted her. However, thinking about the chaotic online gossip had her fuming, let alone Sabrina.

"What about you? Are you okay?"

"I don't care about him anymore. How could I possibly not be okay?" Sabrina replied with her eyebrows raised.

Abigail hugged her and chose not to say anything else.

On their way home, Sabrina asked Abigail, "Abby, do you want to act again?"

Abigail was a talented actress. At just 17, she had won the Pegasus Award for Best Actress. Whether in film or fashion, she stood out as a true trendsetter.

Abigail paused momentarily. When she quit the entertainment industry four years ago, the thought of returning never crossed her mind.

In the past few years, she had been on the sidelines of the industry with several mediocre actors. She was making ends meet but without any substantial breakthrough.

Sabrina looked at her best friend.

She pondered briefly before adding, "You just have to decide if you want to act again."

Abigail returned to her senses.

"Is there anything I need to consider?"

"For instance, what about that man?"

Sabrina glanced at her.

"Weren't you so terrified of him that you dared not act and returned to Slitton to hide?"

Abigail scoffed in response.

"Well, I'll seriously consider your suggestion."

Back at the Wyatt manor, Sabrina no longer needed to be cautious or poised. She felt much more at ease and slept until the next day.

It was almost noon, yet she lounged on the couch in her pajamas.

When Nelson arrived at the Wyatt manor, he found Sabrina upside down on the couch, reading a book with her legs draped over the backrest. He wondered if he was looking at his wife, who always dined with grace.

Sabrina assumed it was Abigail when she heard the sound of footsteps.

With her eyes glued to the book, she quipped, "Would you mind peeling an apple for me like a good servant?"

Michelle, carrying a basket of vegetables, cleared her throat and called, "Sabrina…"

"Yeah?" Sabrina responded absentmindedly.
