Pamela's phone call left Dylan speechless.
Truth be told, Pamela provided very limited information over the past few years. Dylan and Nelson had gone to many places, most of which were unsuccessful.
If it weren't for Nelson's insistence that this person truly existed, he would've thought Pamela was making everything up.
"There hasn't been any news about it for years. How do you suddenly have news now that you've been told to turn yourself in?"
Dylan sneered and hung up the phone on Pamela, refusing to deal with her.
He wondered if Pamela thought everyone to be a fool.
Even after Dylan had hung up on her, Pamela was still excited.
It was because she had guessed the identity of that person.
Pamela felt she had regained her leverage. After all, that person must have held a special place in Nelson's heart since he had been searching for them for so many years.
Hence, she would continue to thrive in the entertainment industry and live her exemplary life.
…
The next day, Sabrina and Abigail went horseback riding and boating and even admired the snow scenery on the mountain in Panshaw.
Nelson was very patient and even took pictures of her.
Abigail asked Sabrina if she would consider not divorcing him if he genuinely settled down and stopped fooling around.
Sabrina wasn't sure about the answer as she was pretty conflicted.
After all, the feelings from her youth were too deep, and he was her first love.
Previously, she had truly hoped her wishes would come true.
But now, even though Nelson was around and trying to please her, Sabrina's feelings remained cold.
After a day of wandering, Sabrina and Abigail looked at the stars in the courtyard.
The hotel owner had brought them some handmade wine. It tasted good but had a strong aftereffect.
Sabrina had two glasses and was lazily slumped on the sofa.
By the time Nelson completed his work, he saw that she was already in a dazed and intoxicated state.
Abigail now found him particularly annoying and didn't want to see him at all.
When he came over, she said goodbye to Sabrina and ran off.
Sabrina lifted her head to glance at him but didn't move as she remained lazily slumped.
"Are you drunk?"
"No," Sabrina answered.
She had downed her second glass too quickly, which made her slightly dizzy, but she was still clear-headed and aware.
The night was cold in Panshaw. Although she had wrapped herself in a blanket and curled up on the sofa, she was still freezing.
Nelson hugged her and held her in his arms. Perhaps it was the alcohol's influence, but Sabrina obediently leaned against him and gazed at the stars.
