Sabrina cried until her nose turned red.
When she noticed the tears and snot on Gerald's clothes, she felt embarrassed and wiped her tears away.
"Sorry, I couldn't control myself." She apologized to Gerald.
Gerald didn't say anything and just looked down at her slightly.
From the moment he met her, she had always been composed and slightly aloof.
He was surprised to see her cry like this. It was heartbreaking for him.
Her teary and red eyes made her look like a pitiful little rabbit.
However, Gerald was glad that she was willing to be vulnerable with him.
"Are you hungry?" he asked, offering his tie for her to wipe her tears.
Sabrina laughed and wiped her eyes. "A little."
"How about I take you to eat something delicious?" Gerald said.
When Gerald took her to McDonald's, Sabrina looked at him with confusion. "This is your idea of something delicious?"
"Yes." He made her sit while he went to order food.
A moment later, he returned with burgers and various types of wings.
"It must've been a long time since you had this, right?" Gerald said.
He handed her a cup of coke. "Here, have some soda."
She accepted it with a smile. "Is this your way of coaxing little girls?"
"You are a little girl," he answered.
Sabrina didn't reply, but she inwardly felt happy.
After her father and brother passed away, she stopped seeing herself as a little girl. There was no one to spoil her anymore.
Gerald's doting gaze embarrassed her, and she covered her face. "This is so embarrassing."
Her sudden shyness made him laugh.
She had been in the business world for so long that she had forgotten how young she was.
Sabrina ate burger, fries, and wings. Then, she drank her soda.
Her mood improved, perhaps because her hunger was satiated.
Gerald quietly watched her before asking, "Sabrina, is there anything I can do for you?"
