The man looked down, his hand brushing over his left wrist. There was a faint bite mark there, and it seemed to have imprinted onto his soul.
As Felicia left the medical center after a busy day, she became worried about Stephan's injury and wondered if he had any Panax pseudo-ginthera left.
So, she went back to the medical center, grabbed the last two bottles of Panax pseudo-ginthera, and called a cab straight to the Russell estate.
When she reached the entrance, she realized she had been too impulsive. Her last visit hadn't gone well. She doubted whether she'd even be allowed to enter this time.
Felicia clenched her teeth and decided to go ahead and press the doorbell. Suddenly, the automatic gate started to open, and a fluffy white ball ran toward her, barking enthusiastically.
"Cloud?"
Cloud wagged its tail furiously and darted to Felicia's feet. It rubbed its head against her legs and rolled on its back, whining softly and begging for attention.
Felicia patted Cloud's head. It had been months since she last saw it, and it had grown a lot. She could tell that Cloud had been well cared for from the looks of its silky, clean fur.
She smiled. When she lifted her head, she saw Stephan standing not far away from her.
He was covered in the shadows of the dimming light, making it feel as if he was standing at an unreachable distance.
Before Felicia could think further, Stephan effortlessly walked to her in just a few steps.
The seemingly insurmountable distance disappeared instantly, and it felt like Stephan had crossed from his world into hers.
Felicia didn't know why she had such a poetic thought. She blinked in embarrassment, feeling lucky that she didn't show it on her face.
"Mr. Russell, how's your injury? I brought some medication for you. It's good for wound recovery." She quickly took out the two bottles from her bag and handed them over.
