It was risky for a woman and a man to be left alone, lying in one bed together.
"Stephie… " Steven hugged me from behind, his breath warmer than usual.
Unable to shake off the shadow of losing my baby and Howard's attempted assault from my mind, I tensed up in fear.
"Don't be scared. I won't do it today… " Steven's voice was so gentle that it calmed my nerves.
As he silently held me in his arms, his breath gradually grew warmer. My ears flushed with embarrassment, wondering why he was so fervent; I had only laid on him for a little while…
As though unsatisfied with just cuddling, he reached for my hand. I tried to struggle but failed to evade his grip.
"Stephie… lend me your hands," he whispered with a seductive voice.
I resisted in silence. I'd rather sleep than engage in such a dirty act.
"Stephie, we're a married couple," he murmured, employing his usual excuse.
Reluctantly, I turned around to face him, curling up in his embrace and offering him my hands…
Although it wasn't the first time I had done this for him, my heartbeat quickened every time, which I found rather… peculiar.
I had never experienced such a sensation before. Even when I was Stephanie, and had been intimate with Michael numerous times, I had only ever felt humiliated, never any pleasant memories.
Most of the time, Michael had used me as an outlet, never offering comfort with gentle words or touches.
"Stephie… " Steven's voice trailed off seductively, his eyes tinged with redness.
Sensing the warmth on my fingers, I averted my gaze and spoke softly, "The doctor said, after a month… w-we can do it if you want to…"
I could feel my face burning with embarrassment. But I couldn't just leave him hanging like this; after all, it was a basic human need.
Steven's grip on my fingers paused for a moment before he pulled me closer and leaned in for a kiss. His kiss was passionate, yet our hands continued their motion regardless.
"I don't want to risk hurting you… It's best to wait three months," he said.
Clearly, he had always consulted the doctor long ago.
Gritting my teeth, I bit his enticing lips, drawing blood…
