Revenge After rebirth novel Chapter 48

Isabel's nails were immaculately manicured, making her look very sophisticated. Not even a single drop of juice seeped out from the orange when she peeled it.

She carried herself with poise, looking effortlessly graceful even when she was peeling an orange. So, Anderson fancied this type of woman. No wonder Mayra never caught his eye.

Mayra replied in a lilted tone, "Andy told me to stay here." She studied Isabel's expression carefully.

Isabel paused slightly, but her expression remained perfectly masked. Still, her subtle reaction betrayed her thoughts.

Mayra didn't bother about her thoughts. She wouldn't interfere in her relationship with Anderson as long as Issbel didn't cause her any trouble.

Isabel placed the peeled orange in Mayra's hand. "That's great! You don't have to be alone, and Andy doesn't have to worry about you as well.

"The mansion's too big. After I'm married to Andy, you can keep me company and chat with me. Otherwise, I'll be all alone with no one to talk to."

Mayra marveled at Isabel's skills in masking her true intentions. She knew how much Isabel loathed her, and the last thing she wanted was for her to stay. Isabel's hospitality toward her was only meant to please Anderson.

Mayra flashed a nonchalant smile at her. She had lived twice. Yet, her resentment for Isabel hadn't changed one bit.

"I didn't accept, but still Andy gave me the keys."

"What's wrong? Why didn't you choose to move in? Are you still worried about something? Mayra, is it because you haven't accepted me yet, so you're reluctant to stay?"
