“Eight years ago, you had a lover that got pregnant. She planned to give birth to the child, but you secretly got some people to abort the baby. Here’s the information on your lover’s treatment records in the hospital. We also have a DNA report of the unborn child.
“Five years ago, you secretly took down a consortium and made a ten billion-dollar profit. Here’s the relevant evidence.”
…
Francesco looked at the presented evidence and read them out one by one.
Hearing this, Graydon’s face paled. He roared, “Impossible! This is impossible! I’m being framed! I didn’t do this! I didn’t do any of it! I want to see Lance! I want to see the King!
“You’re not qualified to trial me, James!
“I’m a three-star general, James! You need an approved document from the King to arrest and put me on trial! Where’s the document? Without a document, you have no right to convict me!”
Graydon panicked and kept shouting.
James got up, walked toward Francesco, and picked up the large stack of documents. Then, he slowly walked toward Graydon.
“Over the past decade, thirty people have died in your hands, Graydon. Moreover, the funds in your account amount to one hundred and eighty billion dollars. Even if Lance showed up in person today, he would not be able to save you.
“Based on the crimes you’ve committed over the years, even a hundred shots wouldn’t be sufficient punishment.”
Graydon glared at James and said with resentment, “I don’t believe you dare to kill me, James. I’ll kill you if you try! I won’t die today!”
“You can go ahead and try.”
James was not threatened by him at all.
He turned to the courthouse’s chief justice in front of him and asked coldly, “Chief Justice, we’ve collected so much evidence. Please make a conviction.”
Hearing this, the group of jurors began to discuss.
After discussing for ten minutes, Francesco said, “I announce that Graydon is guilty and will be deprived of his three-star general military rank. Since this matter is significant, I suggest we take him into custody for the time being and wait for a juridical review.”
“Why do we need to take him into custody? It’s a crime worthy of the death penalty! He should be executed to death immediately!”
James was dissatisfied with the trial result. He glared at Franceso and said, “Chief Justice, you should think twice. There’s conclusive evidence of his crime. The crimes he committed are worth being shot dozens of times.”
With helplessness on his face, Francesco said, “Emperor, this is no joke. He’s a three-star general. Even with conclusive evidence, I’m the only one here. There isn’t any representative from the military or government. I wouldn’t dare convict him.”
