James left the courthouse and returned home.
It was already eight in the morning when he reached home.
Thea did not sleep the whole night as she was paying attention to the latest news.
Fortunately, there were no accidents last night.
Seeing James return home, she sighed in relief and quickly inquired, “Honey, did you encounter any problems last night?”
“No.”
James sat down and said, “It went smoothly. It was so successful to the point where it felt a little abnormal.”
Thea looked at James puzzledly.
James explained, “Last night, I arrested Graydon, but neither Orient Commerce nor the Gu Sect showed up to stop me. I killed Graydon and detained the chief justice and law enforcers of the courthouse. However, Tobias showed up with members of the Phantom Army in the morning. He said he was not there to stop me but to help me…”
James briefly narrated the events.
Thea replied with a smile, “Isn’t that a good thing? You can join forces with Orient Commerce and get rid of the Gu Sect first.”
“Mhm. That’s what I’m thinking too.” James nodded.
The Gu Sect was much more threatening than Orient Commerce.
Ultimately, Orient Commerce wanted to serve the country and its people, wishing to do what was best for its people.
However, the Gu Sect was different.
The consequences of the Gu Sect taking over were dire.
“I’m exhausted and will head back to the room to sleep.”
James did not sleep last night and was fatigued. He did not even bother eating breakfast before heading back to the room to sleep.
When he woke up, it was already noon.
His sleep was interrupted by Thea.
“Honey, wake up. Something happened.”
Thea’s voice pulled him back to reality.
James rolled over and got out of bed. He looked at the gorgeous Thea and asked, “What’s wrong? What happened?”
