Even so, Callan was still one of the most powerful martial artists in the world.
“Where’s Thomas?” Callan asked.
James shook his head and said, “I can’t reach him. He’s an elusive figure. You don’t know where he could be at this moment. Every time he leaves, I can’t find him no matter how hard I try.”
“Hahaha!”
At that moment, a burst of laughter boomed from outside.
Then, the door opened.
A man wearing a white robe walked in.
Upon seeing the man, James rolled his eyes and asked, “Grandpa, are you always just around me? How do you manage to appear every time I mention your name?”
Thomas walked over to James and took a seat, saying smilingly, “If it wasn’t for me protecting you from the shadows, you’d have been long dead.”
“Grandpa, you must have heard that I plan to head to Malgudi.”
Upon hearing this, Thomas’ expression turned grim. After a while, he nodded slightly and said, “Yes, I have.”
“What’s your opinion on the matter?” James questioned.
“Go,” Thomas uttered a single word.
Upon hearing this, James was relieved. Now, he could finally head to Malgudi and annihilate the Gu Sect and Lucjan Owen.
“Grandpa, what’s your current strength?” James asked.
He was curious to know what his grandfather’s strength was. He only knew that he had yet to ascend the Skyward Stairway before the Mount Thunder Conference.
Thomas smiled and said, “I’m just a step away from reaching the ninth rank.”
