“Ezekiel, what are you shouting for?”
As soon as Thea left, Lucjan turned to face Thomas, who was pretending to be Ezekiel, and questioned him, “What did you mean by that? Why did the Sect Leader of Celestial Sect leave when you brought up James?”
Thomas shrugged and said, “I just guessed that the leader of the Celestial Sect is Thomas, but I didn't expect it to be true.”
“Is it really?”
Lucjan had a look of disbelief.
“It was just a speculation, that’s why I put it to the test,” said Thomas. “Consider for a moment: besides Thomas, who else in this world would have such strength?”
Lucjan did not doubt Thomas' words, since they made a lot of sense.
The person who benefited the most from the Spirit Turtle was Thomas. His strength was unrivaled in the world.
Right now, Lucjan wanted to kill Tobias.
Tobias was injured and even lost an arm. He thought he would certainly be dead.
However, the Sect Leader of the Celestial Sect unexpectedly left at a crucial moment.
He breathed a sigh of relief and hurried off without lingering.
When Lucjan realized what was going on, Tobias had already vanished.
“Oh, no. Let’s go back quickly.” Lucjan's face suddenly turned pale as he thought of something. However, just as he was about to make his way back to the underground palace, he was stopped.
The person standing in his way was Callan.
“Callan Maverick…” Lucjan’s expression darkened, and he said coldly, “Get the hell out of my way.”
Callan’s face was slightly pale. He was aware that he might not be a match for the three people in front of him.
Still, he had to stop them in order to give Bennett a chance to save the others.
“Lucjan, it’s about time we settle our grudges,” Callan said nonchalantly.
Lucjan looked at Ezekiel and the First Blood Emperor beside him and said softly, “You should both look for an opening to return to the underground palace and guard it. If anyone tries to intrude, activate the Thousand-Machinery Formation. Don’t ever let those martial artists escape with the help of outsiders. If you do, all of our efforts will have been in vain.”
“Mhm.” The Blood Emperor nodded gently.
Thomas, who was posing as Ezekiel, nodded as well and said, “Don’t worry. It’ll be fine.”
Callan did not move. His goal was not to kill Lucjan.
