“How did it go, Darling?”
The moment he appeared, Thea’s voice came.
Wearing a delighted look on his face, James said, “I got something impressive. How about you?”
Thea smiled and said, “Same here.”
“Alright.” The custodian walked over to them and looked at James and the Omniscient Deity, saying, “Now that you each have obtained something, leave at once. Do not return here before the seal is undone.”
“Let’s go, Thea.”
James grabbed Thea’s arm and turned to leave.
“She cannot leave.” The custodian said while blocking his path.
Thea stopped in her tracks and looked at James, saying, “You should return, Darling. I’ll stay and purify my Demonic Energy.”
“But…”
James was reluctant to part ways with her. It would take years for them to reunite once more.
Thea said with a smile, “Don’t worry, it’s just going to be a few years. Once I’ve purified my Demonic Energy, I’ll return for you.”
Then, her expression turned wistful.
“Poor Winnie… Remember to return to Cansington and spend some time with her.”
James took a deep breath. It appeared that he would not be able to take Thea away. So, he nodded and said, “Be careful, alright? Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of Winnie.”
Saying that, he looked at the custodian and said, “I’ll leave Thea to you.”
