“He didn’t disappoint us.”
Upon witnessing the scene, a smile crept up on Marcello’s face as he murmured, “I wonder what cultivation method was that. To think that it was able to increase James’ strength so drastically in such a short amount of time.”
Everyone else was equally stunned. At that moment, their gazes were simply fixed on James.
James descended from the sky and landed steadily on the ground. Then, he dispersed Sacrilegious Ascension, and his vertebrae that were formed using the power of heaven and earth disappeared. As his power gradually disappeared, he lay on the ground motionless, his life hanging by a thread.
Thea hurriedly made her way over to him and helped him up.
James said, “I-I’m fine… Just let me rest for a while.”
As he lay on the ground, he catalyzed Demonic Energy and accelerated his rejuvenation speed.
Then, some earthlings and Outsiders approached him.
Marcello walked over to James, whose face was pale and whose life was hanging by a thread, and asked, “Are you alright, James?”
James smiled faintly and said, “Of course I am.”
Marcello praised him, “How impressive of you! Magnus is at the Immortal Ascension’s Third Stair, yet you were able to defeat him by yourself. By the way, what cultivation method did you cultivate? It’s so insanely powerful!”
“Sacrilegious Ascension,” came a voice.
Everyone turned their heads to see a man in a black robe approaching. Around twenty years of age, he had long hair and a somewhat handsome-looking face. However, he exuded a slight trace of malevolent energy.
“Jace…” Marcello greeted him and asked, “What is Sacrilegious Ascension?”
At that moment, another voice came, “Sacrilegious Ascension is a signature cultivation method of the Primordial Divine Ape Race.”
Everyone turned their heads to see another man approaching.
James recognized the man.
He was Cody Beau of the Ethos Realm.
