As usual, Sophie refused to explain.
She left the City Lord’s Mansion and went to the training ground behind the city.
James had no way of dealing with her.
Afterward, he took Laelia around the city and briefly told her of the Celestial Abode’s origin.
Laelia’s face was full of astonishment.
Meanwhile, the soldiers quickly moved the grains into the Celestial Abode and completed their tasks swiftly. Laelia ordered them to bring some seeds for James to bring back to Earth.
After all the grain was moved into the Celestial Abode, James stood outside and shrank it down.
Many people were gathered in the military base, including the Emperor of the Tabal Empire, Zoe, Laelia, and other Targwyn family members.
Laelia waved at James sadly. “Let’s meet again one day, James. I’ll devote myself to my training and find you when the Land of Tabal merges with the Earth.”
Zoe walked toward James and said, “Mr. Caden, are you sure you don’t want to stay a while longer? Is there really such a rush to return to Earth?”
James nodded and said, “I’ve already been here for quite some time and I have no idea what the situation on Earth is. The current situation there is extremely tenuous, so I don’t dare to stay any longer.”
Hearing this, Zoe did not continue to persuade him.
James waved goodbye to the Targwyns and immediately leaped into the air, entering through the crack in space.
Under the gaze of many people, James disappeared.
Laelia’s pretty face was full of sadness. Although she had not known James for a long time, she could sense he was a nice person. James had many chances to steal their family’s heirloom, the jade pendant, but he did not.
