Sophie’s body flickered and disappeared.
She teleported back into the Celestial Abode.
After returning to the Celestial Abode, her face was pale, and she looked like she had suffered a serious injury. She said, “James, the outside world is resisting me. The inscriptions on the Infinity Stele will attack me, so I can’t stay any longer.”
Sophie’s voice came from inside the Celestial Abode.
Jame was puzzled by her words and asked, “Why am I fine?”
“It’s because your cultivation base is relatively weak. You’re far from the point of coming to understand the ancient scripts. Thus, they won’t attack you.”
James asked again, “Then, what should I do next?”
Sophie said, “There’s no rush. A powerhouse must’ve left this place behind. His soul fragments must’ve been left in this place.”
After Sophie finished speaking, some white light gathered together and formed a silhouette.
James could vaguely see that this person was dressed in a white robe. He had long, black hair, and his facial features were fairly handsome.
“Has someone finally shown up?”
The silhouette looked at James. It looked like it was talking to James, but at the same time, it looked like he was talking to himself.
At that moment, Sophie wanted to talk to James.
However, she realized a powerful force had forcibly severed James’ connection with the Celestial Abode. No matter what she said, James could not hear her.
Meanwhile, James could not be bothered with Sophie.
He looked at the silhouette floating before him. He clasped his hands together and said respectfully, “My name is James. It’s an honor to meet you.”
“Mhm.”
The silhouette nodded gently in response to James.
The silhouette uttered, “The heaven and earth’s seal is opening, and the Provenance has opened. It seems this day has finally come.”
“May I know your name?” James asked tentatively.
