“Alright,” the guard replied respectfully and left.
Brielle waited in the yard.
After a while, the guard returned together with Thea.
“Ms. Labhrann, I’ve brought the visitor,” the guard bowed as he reported to Brielle.
Brielle gently waved her hand and said, “Okay. You’re dismissed.”
“Understood.”
The guard turned and left.
Thea stood to the side and looked at Brielle.
Brielle sat on a chair in a gazebo and returned Thea’s gaze.
After Thea finished giving Brielle a once over, she was amazed and thought to herself, ‘James was in the Demon Realm for only a few years yet was able to attract such a stunning woman. She’s gorgeous and looks very suitable for James.”
Brielle stared at Thea but could not see her appearance since her face was covered with a veil.
She pointed to a chair beside herself and smiled. “You must be Thea, right? Have a seat. Please relax.”
After Thea heard Brielle calling her name, she was certain the man who married Brielle was definitely the one she had been looking for.
Thea sat down. She glanced at Brielle and asked coldly, “Where’s James? Tell him to see me now.”
Although she had accepted the fact that it was possible for James to take another wife, he s did not seek her consent before doing so. as such, she was still slightly dissatisfied and was rude toward Brielle.
“What’s up with you? Is there a reason your face is covered with a veil?” Brielle looked at Thea with interest.
Thea took off her veil.
Brielle was surprised after finally seeing Thea’s appearance and inadvertently praised her, “You’re beautiful! Your face is flawless! Even a woman like me can’t help but feel mesmerized by your beauty.”
Thea snorted and said, “Stop the useless flattery. Where is James right now? Get him to see me.”
Hearing James’ name, the smile on Brielle’s face froze and was replaced with sadness.
“You were slightly too late. James already left.”
Thea stood up abruptly and asked, “Huh? He left? Where did he go?”
A little upset, Brielle replied, “Why are you asking me? I was hoping to learn of his whereabouts from you. That despicable guy ran away on his wedding night.”
