Murchadt looked at Letitia and said, “Go meet him.”
Letitia remained silent and simply turned to leave. Then, she headed to the foyer.
A man about twenty-five years of age was sitting there. Wearing a golden robe, he had a somewhat handsome-looking appearance and exuded the aura of a playboy.
As Letitia walked toward him, he hurriedly stood up and looked at her endearingly.
“You’re here, Letitia.”
Letitia looked at him and asked coldly, “What are you doing here?”
Ximun said smilingly, “Murchadt promised me that you would bring me to Mount Sword God. My Sword Path Ousia has accomplished the Third Consolidation, and it would be difficult for me to advance further. If I can listen to the Ancestral Sword Master’s sermons, maybe I’ll gain some insight and cross into the Quasi Emperor Rank.”
Letitia looked at him and said, “I’m sorry, but I may not be able to bring you along.”
“Why?” Ximun asked puzzledly.
She replied, “That’s because I’ve promised someone else I would them along.”
“Who?”
“That’s none of your concern,” Letitia said and turned to leave.
Ximun chased after her and grabbed her hand, asking, “We have an engagement, Letitia. This is the perfect opportunity for us to bond. Yet, you chose to bring someone else along. If word spreads, how would outsiders view the Lachesis and Zaccai families?”
“That has nothing to do with me.”
