The Guqin opened the Dead City’s gate.
Apart from Yukia’s message, James did not obtain anything from the Dead City.
Her words were profound, and James could not figure out the meaning behind them yet.
After he took out the Guqin, a magical power emerged, and the Dead City vanished, dispersing into the air as black Demonic Energy.
James glanced around and found that he stood in the plains.
The plains were full of various poisonous grasses.
If he had not seen it himself, James would not believe an ancient city had been right at this spot.
Initially, he set out on his journey with three companions. However, he was the only one left now.
James felt sad about the loss.
Although he did not know them for long and had little attachment to them, he was sad to have to spend the rest of the journey alone.
He picked out a direction and continued walking toward the depths of Mount Nothingness.
“Mr. Caden!”
Suddenly, James heard a voice calling out to him.
He turned around and saw three people approaching him.
It was none other than Hadrian, Herbert, and Mia who was supposed to have turned into skeletons and crumbled into dust.
The three quickly rushed toward him.
“G-Guys?!”
James’ eyes widened in shock.
Noticing James’ baffled expression, Mia asked. “What’s wrong, Mr. Caden?”
