Melinda was the privileged princess of Mount Heavenly Path. She was beginning to admire James, a genius of this age.
“Oh right,” Melinda recalled something and said, “Gutierre also joined Mount Heavenly Path. With the approval of my father, he has also awakened the Scythe of Judgment. I wonder if James will be a match against that.”
Melinda looked as if she was mumbling to herself while also speaking to Winnie.
Winnie only looked at James who just appeared at the Mountain.
James already knew the identity of the man with the blue robe. But as someone who has gone through so much of ups and downs, Gutierre was barely able to scare him.
Gutierre clasped his hands together. He looked extremely relaxed and confident.
“James, I haven’t fought anyone for many years now. The Young Master asked me to come here to go against you. In my opinion, it’s not necessary at all. Yet, I’ve heard that you successfully defeated Xesus Leofwine, who was ranked number thirtieth on the Martial Ranking. So, perhaps you can withstand a few strikes of mine.” His words were like wind, rife with faith and infinite confidence.
“If you’re at the Ninth Heaven Grand Emperor Rank, perhaps I could see you as an equal. Unfortunately, however, your rank is simply too low.” He shook his head as if he found James’ situation tragic, a pathetic genius who fell to his knees.
“How arrogant.”
“Well, he has to keep up his reputation of scoring third place in the Martial Ranking.”
