James had no idea what Gutierre was doing. He could only sense that Gutierre was up to something freakish. His aura was nowhere and omnipresent at the same time. Gutierre signaled to James to start, and this one signal of his also became illusory, filled with the charm of the Path.
“James, your turn,” he opened up. His voice was so loud that it echoed in the void. This simple sentence rang so loudly that his brain began to hurt.
“This is scary,” James took a deep breath. Gutierre was ghastly at this moment, yet he could not afford to lose this battle. He would die, and Sienna would have to marry someone else.
James let his confidence take over him as he attacked again. Once he appeared before Gutierre, an amalgamation of all Path Seals’ power materialized from his fist. This blow was made out of the Yin and Yang Energy, Elemental Power, and the Five Great Paths, so even Quasi Ancestral Gods who received it would be injured, if not dead.
Nevertheless, this blow only managed to hit a fragmented shadow. The shadow dissipated, and the true form of Gutierre uncannily appeared somewhere else.
“What?” James was stupefied. The blow encapsulated the power of the Space Path, locking space in its way. Accordingly, there was no way for Gutierre to avoid the hit, he could merely receive it.
Gutierre used James’ moment of shock to attack. His illusory body appeared behind James, unleashing a slap filled with immense energy. James’ body was hit squarely by the force, causing him to fall from the sky, slamming violently onto the ground. He was uninjured thanks to the Elemental Body.
Subsequently, his eyes seared into Gutierre’s and asked, “What is the Omniscience Path? Why is it so frightening?”
Gutierre smiled slyly and said, “This is a special battle state. It’s very difficult to comprehend. Let me be honest with you and say that there are probably less than ten people in this universe who have managed to comprehend this battle state. While this state does not raise a person’s own power, it is very uncanny. I’ll save you the details. You must reach this rank to understand more.”
One could not simply explain the Omniscience Path. It required personal comprehension, not verbal explanation.
At this moment, Gutierre’s energy soared again, forming a scary magnetic field. James, who was in the field, felt awful and sick.
“The Omniscience Path… Are you feeling it now?” As Gutierre’s voice roared, his body moved as well. A weapon materialized in his hand as he appeared before James. It was the Heaven-Piercer Halberd. He charged toward James with the weapon in hand.
James could sense the obvious attack of Gutierre, yet was unable to avoid it. He was locked in place by the immense magnetic field.
Hiss! The Heaven-Piercer Halberd penetrated through James’ Elemental Body, causing his body to slam violently into the ground once more, forming a bottomless pit.
“It’s over,” Gutierre floated in the air with an overwhelming aura. He held the Heaven-Piercer Halberd, which was materializing an appalling power.
“James, you’re a genius. I didn’t want to kill you, but we’re on different paths,” he muttered. The Heaven-Piercer Halberd slanted slightly, and frightening power poured from it into the pit.
“James!” Thea exclaimed from Herschel Palace on Mount Heavenly Path. She was tempted to extend her aid, but was reprimanded coldly by Herschel, “Thea, this is Mount Heavenly Path. Who do you think you are?”
