“Yeah.”
Daniel nodded and said, “I’ll send you an email immediately. Check if you’ve received it.”
He took out his phone, opened the mailbox, and sent the information to James.
“You should stop blaming yourself for what happened. It’s their duty as soldiers. Although they sacrificed themselves, they saved your life. Now that you’ve gotten rid of the Emperor, I’m sure they can rest in peace.”
James shook his head and said, “It’s different. They died because of my personal affairs. I owe it to them.”
Daniel did not say anything more. He knew that it would be useless to do so.
James took out his phone and saw the email.
He opened it up and read through the profile information of the soldiers.
Then, he called Quincy.
“What’s the matter, James? Did something happen?” Quincy’s voice transmitted through the phone.
James asked, “Do you have any personal savings? Lend me some money.”
“How much?”
James quickly calculated in his mind.
To compensate each soldier ten million dollars, he would need close to five hundred million for the families of the forty-six soldiers.
“I need about five hundred million dollars.”
“Do you think I’m an ATM? You sure are bold to ask for such a huge amount.”
“I have enough…”
Thea’s voice sounded from the phone, “Honey, I’ll transfer the money to you right away.”
In the past, James had given Thea a huge sum of money.
Now, she was beside Quincy and overheard James asking for money. Immediately, she opened her mouth and offered the money to him.
James did not decline her offer. “Okay.”
He hung up the phone.
Thea quickly transferred the money to him.
Soon, James received a text notification from the bank.
He then carefully read through the sacrificed soldiers’ profiles and looked at the information about their relatives.
