Salute to the General novel Chapter 1613

It was eleven at night. The sky had turned pitch dark, but the Lieberman residence was lively and merry.

The parking lot in front of the residence was full of all sorts of luxurious cars.

Today was not only the day Wilfred came out of prison but also his son's wedding.

Many of his long-time friends and wealthy business owners turned up as well.

These notables came tonight because they believed that Wilfred would work his way to the top again.

Right now, the Lieberman residence was packed with guests, disciples, and subordinates.

All of them swarmed around Wilfred, giving him a wonderful, false sense of being superior again.

Glancing around the venue, he realized that the most influential big shots like Clifford Davier and Boris Tucker weren't around.

Even Will Long and the other high-ranking general didn't attend the wedding too.

Those who came were mostly ordinary department heads, business owners, his disciples, and former subordinates.

Though the place was crowded, none of the big shots were here, and that displeased Wilfred.

With an annoyed face, he asked Greyson, “Did Mr. Davier and Mr. Tucker come to my son's wedding?”

Greyson seemed a little awkward as he mumbled, “Mr. Davier and Mr. Tucker have something on, so they can't make it, but they sent some gifts over.”

Clifford and Boris were now the renowned Great Cabinet Members.

On top of that, not everyone was keen to get involved in a posthumous wedding.

Clifford and Boris didn't need to please Wilfred, let alone attend such a strange occasion. It was very courteous of them to send gifts over.

Yet, Wilfred wasn't happy about it. “Hah! When I was a cabinet member, they treated me with such respect. But the two of them are all puffed up now.” The man snorted.

The expressions of Greyson and those subordinates beside him change drastically. Hurriedly, they whispered in Wilfred's ears, “Sir, please mind your words. Mr. Davier and Mr.

Tucker are no longer like the men they used to be.”

Wilfred nodded in acknowledgment. “Leopard went to Channing to kidnap Queenie. Is he not back yet?”
