“Mr. Cross!” Zed exclaimed.
Nathan responded with a smile.
“Why, if it isn't Zed Walker! What a coincidence.”
“I just came back from a conference and happened to pass by here,” Zed replied courteously. “What happened, Mr. Cross?”
Renzo was still thinking that Zed would help him teach Nathan and Colin a lesson since they knew each other.
However, he didn't expect Nathan to know Zed, and the two men had even struck up a conversation.
In fact, Zed looked like he was buttering up to Nathan.
Feeling nervous, Renzo asked, “Do you know this man, Captain Walker? You know what? Even if you do know each other, I'm still not going to let him off this easily. I have never been humiliated like this before and I’m not leaving until I break his legs!”
Zed's expression instantly darkened at that. “Who the hell do you think you are, Renzo Zachman? How dare you threaten someone else in front of me? Are you disregarding me and the nation's laws?”
Renzo hurriedly explained himself because he didn't want to offend Zed. “That's not what I meant! It's just... It's just that this man humiliated me first! I can't just let him off like that!”
Zed bellowed, “Shut up! Do you know who Mr. Cross is?”
Looking at the stern expression on Zed's face, Renzo finally realized that Nathan wasn't someone that he could mess with.
Despite being anxious and scared, he replied arrogantly, “I don't care who he is!”
“What did you just say?” Zed whispered in a menacing tone.
Renzo's face turned pale as cold beads of sweat trickled down from his forehead.
Thump!
Renzo knelt on the ground instantly.
Crawling toward Nathan, he cried, “I'm sorry, Mr. Cross. I deserve to die!
I shouldn't have bullied Ms. Sofie and threatened you...”
