Indigo Palace was bustling with activity two days later.
Many different kinds of cars, including Audis and Passats, were parked in the parking lot in front of Indigo Palace. Even military Jeeps could also be seen.
Even though those cars were not luxury cars and could not be compared to Bentley, Rolls-Royce, or even Mercedes-Benz, they shared a common feature, which was that they were either executive cars or military vehicles.
As such, anyone could tell that the guests who were currently gathered at Indigo Palace were no ordinary people.
As it turned out, it was the former president, Hansel's birthday that day.
The birthday banquet was organized by Nathan and Zion, and a group of Hansel's old comrades and students had come together to celebrate his birthday.
Only those who were closest to Hansel were invited to the celebration.
Hansel wore a grey outfit and a pair of grey canvas shoes while his wife, Camilla, was dressed in a blue evening gown. Both of them were all smiles when they arrived at the venue.
Zion and the other guests took turns to convey their birthday greetings to Hansel.
“Thank you so much! I really appreciate all of your good wishes.” Hansel nodded continuously, acknowledging his guests.
Just then, a voice rang out from outside. “Chief Cross is here.”
Immediately, the crowd turned to look at the entrance.
The guests who were closest to the door had even stepped aside, forming an aisle in the middle to make way for Nathan.
The next moment, Nathan, who was dressed in his military outfit, walked in with his wife, Penny.
When Hansel saw Nathan, a delighted smile appeared on his face at once, as he was extremely proud of his disciple's achievements.
That was the young man whom Hansel had mentored and gone to great lengths to help last time. After everything, Nathan had finally become Eurasia's God of War and the pillar of the nation.
As such, Hansel felt comforted, excited, and proud at the same time.
It was as though he was looking at his own son, who had grown up to become someone successful and capable.
“Mr. Windsor, I wish you a long life with great prosperity.”
Nathan was about to get down on his knees with Penny as he delivered his well wishes.
After all, once a mentor, always a mentor. As such, Nathan felt that it was only appropriate for him to pay his respects to Hansel sincerely. Without Hansel's guidance, Nathan would not have turned into the man he was at present.
However, Hansel reached out a hand to stop the couple before they got down on their knees.
With a smile on his face, Hansel said, “Nathan, don't do that. Your status today is no longer the same as before.”
