Salute to the General novel Chapter 2719

Back at the suite in the hotel in Jinrich, Nathan was receiving the latest updates from Colin. “What did you say? They killed the policemen and took Hideo Komura and Bentley Jabbar?”

Colin gave him a bitter smile. “Yeah... We missed them. I can't believe they have the audacity to do that!”

“This is an open attempt to undermine the law. They are testing my patience,” Nathan said. “I have a feeling that the mysterious person who saved them is somehow related to the missing people's case in Jinrich.

Use every resource you have. I want you to hunt them down and bring them to me before the sun rises tomorrow. Also, I want to know who the person behind all this is."

“I will ask all the intelligence units in the army to find all the clues they can. The white hats will also be part of this operation. We will crack this in the shortest amount of time.”

“Go see to it now.”

After Colin left, Penny came in with Ava holding her on the side.

She looked attractive and charming as usual.

When Nathan saw her, he quickly went over to see how she was doing. “Are you okay?” he asked.

“She's not feeling well,” Ava replied immediately.

Nathan was alarmed, but Penny forced a smile and tried to comfort him.

“Don't listen to her. It's no big deal. I’m just feeling a little nauseous. It's probably because of the pregnancy.”

Nathan heaved a sigh of relief when he heard this. He raised his brows, giving her a helpless expression. Well, there's nothing I can do about that baby in your tummy.

Penny smiled, looking at his reaction. It turned out that no matter how powerful Nathan was, there was still nothing he could do when it came to a small matter like this.

“I want to go take a walk outside. I think some fresh air will help me get rid of the tightness I feel on my chest.”

“Sure. I'll go with you.”

Nathan walked out of the hotel with Penny, bringing only Ava along. Ava figured they might want to spend some time together, so she followed at a distance, trying not to disturb their alone time.

At that time, the moon was already high in the sky, and the night was deep.

They walked side by side down the empty street in the quiet night.

“Ah, I feel much better now.” Penny smiled.

“We should do this more often,” Nathan said.

“Yeah... You're so busy all the time. I bet you'll be even busier in the future.”

“I will still make time for you.”

Penny's eyes curved as a sweet smile broke out on her face. “We'll see.”

Suddenly, a gush of cold wind blew past, sending a shudder down her body.
