Salute to the General novel Chapter 2739

Later that night, Nathan and Penny showed up at Victoria Auction House in plain clothes with Carlos.

The venue was huge as it could accommodate over a thousand seats, and there were barely any empty ones.

The men who showed up were all dressed in suits, whereas the women wore elegant evening gowns. Each and every one of the guests was a wealthy and powerful person.

Nathan and the others had just entered the venue when a chubby middle-aged man stepped forward with a few subordinates to greet them.

“Hahaha! Nice to see you here tonight, Ambassador Knight!”

Carlos looked a little surprised when he saw the middle-aged man. “Mr. Leatham! What a coincidence!” he said politely.

The middle-aged man was a famous Eurasian tycoon named “Donovan Leatham.”

With a net worth of tens of billions, he was quite well-known in the Eurasian business circle of Eagleland. Since he often went to the embassy for help with his issues, he became acquainted with Carlos as a result.

Donovan narrowed his eyes and said with a smile, “I hear there will be tons of Eurasian treasures being auctioned here tonight. Those treasures have been scattered all over the world for a long time. Are you planning on buying some as a form of contribution to the country, Ambassador Knight?”

“Yes, but I don't think I can afford to. Given your wealth, Mr. Leatham, I'm sure you could buy a thing or two for Eurasia!” Carlos replied.

Donovan chuckled. "Money isn't a problem for me. I'll see if I find anything interesting.”

As he shifted his gaze toward Nathan and the others, he couldn't help but feel amazed when he saw Penny and Ava.

D*mn, these two are pretty!

“Who are these people, Ambassador Knight?” Donovan asked in the most casual-sounding way possible.

Nathan had told Carlos to keep his identity a secret because the prices would surely go up if people knew the President of Eurasia had come to reclaim the country's treasures.

As such, Carlos felt a little uncertain about how he should introduce Nathan when Donovan asked about them.
