Interestingly enough, Nathan, Colin, Ava, and the Elite Eight didn't feel the effects of the moonlight.
Nathan stared at the crazed werewolves before turning his attention to Nuguri.
I suppose this is one of Nuguri s tricks. The red moonlight seemingly only affects animals and beasts, so humans should be safe from it.
Nathan initially believed that Colin, Ava, and the Elite Eight would be strong enough to handle the horde of werewolves.
However, now that the blood moon's appearance had increased the werewolves' fighting prowess, it was becoming apparent that it'd be hard to fight them off.
Naturally, Colin, Ava, and the rest felt the mounting stress.
There were several occasions when the werewolves would rush to the car and bang on the hood, causing Penny to turn pale with fright.
Thankfully, Colin and Ava reacted in time and struck them down.
However, no one could deny that the situation was getting increasingly tense and dangerous.
Having made a swift decision, Nathan strode toward Nuguri. If I want to break the spell controlling the werewolves, I have to kill the shaman first. That way, the danger will be over!
With the red moonlight shining on them, the seventeen werewolf warriors became even stronger than before. On top of that, they had become numb and felt no sense of fear or danger.
Amid their angry roars and growls, they began launching their attacks on Nathan.
Bang'.
One of the warriors lunged at Nathan and slammed a hand onto the latter's chest.
The razor-sharp claws cut through Nathan's shirt like a blade, but surprisingly, his body remained unharmed. It was as though he was well-protected by impenetrable body armor.
Of course, that left the werewolf stunned and doubtful about his own ability.
What? How is that possible? One claw from me is enough to rip through any ordinary human's chest! My attack should be strong enough to tear apart even armored cars, so how does Nathan not have a single scratch on him?
Alas, during that split-second distraction, Nathan swiftly raised his fist and smashed it down on the werewolf s chest.
Boom!
