The moment Nathan finished his piece, the Chaotic Duo's faces fell.
One of the Chaotic Duo, Mayhem, said coldly, “Hey brat, you'd better watch that attitude of yours.”
The other one of the duo, Bedlam, warned, “Brat, you're not here seeking death, are you? If you are, I'd be happy to oblige.”
The second the bodyguards outside heard the Chaotic Duo's words, they rushed inside.
Quintin uttered plainly, “Mayhem,
Bedlam, there's no need to take a brat's words so seriously. And you guys, you’re not allowed to enter without my permission. Now, leave.”
“Yes, Mr. Packman.”
The bodyguards who rushed inside stepped back out politely, not forgetting to close the door behind them while they were at it.
Quintin turned his gaze toward Nathan. Surprisingly, he did not see the shocked expression that he was expecting to see on Nathan’s face. Instead, the man was as calm as ever.
Is he fearless or ignorant?
Thinking that Nathan was probably the latter, Quintin mocked, “Mr. Cross, I have seen many youngsters like you who think they're invincible just because their family is rich. Perhaps, you are indeed quite the formidable man in your country, but don't you forget that we're now in Eagleland.”
He continued, “You might be the person that everyone sucks up to in your country, but here, you're nobody to me. Now, I'm going to give you one last chance. Take your bodyguards with you and get out of my sight. As for the matter with the imperial jade seal, you can either take the counterfeit back or ask for the five hundred million compensation fee. But either way, it will be Ambassador Knight who’ll tell me what option he chooses.”
As Quintin was speaking, Nathan had taken out a pack of Marlboro. He took out a cigarette and put it in his mouth before lighting it with a metal lighter, his action casual yet graceful.
